Services

Luminyx offers Biblical Counselling in the following modes:

Individual Counselling

Individual counselling involves one-on-one sessions where you can confront issues and challenges that you are experiencing. These sessions are also a time for you to discover other related, deep-seated issues that we can address.

We do individual counselling in the field of:

  • Abuse

  • Addiction

  • Anger management

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Grief

  • Loneliness

$100 per 60-minute session, tax included

Pre-Marital Counselling

Pre-marital counselling is an opportunity for the couple to focus on pertinent issues in the relationship as they consider a transition into marriage. The Prepare/Enrich assessment tool will be utilized as the starting point for your sessions. This will serve as a general overview of different aspects of your relationship as we determine particular areas of focus. We would also encourage you to bring into the discussion any specific issues that were not raised while using the assessment tool.

Some areas of conversation may include:

  • Beliefs and values

  • Communication and conflict resolution

  • Finances

  • Family planning

  • Relationship roles

Marriage Counselling

Marriage counselling focuses on specific, recurring problems that have been central to the difficulty experienced in your marriage. We will delve into the history of your marriage and carefully consider both of your perspectives amidst current conflicts and issues.

Examples of issues raised may include:

  • Blended families

  • Child rearing

  • Communication and conflict resolution

  • Finances

  • Infidelity

  • Sexual difficulties

*Couples are required to do 3-4 individual counselling sessions prior to starting couples counselling. This is to ensure sufficient time has been allocated to understand each person and to determine whether the issues raised would be better addressed with individual counselling sessions instead.*

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
